Chapel update

Chapel Gable End

Chapel Gable End

The Banister Chapel in Shuttlewood is the group’s largest asset and the location for scenery construction and storage for props and costumes. Over the past four years we have been working towards restoring the building, which is over 100 years old, in order so that we can continue to use the facility for many years to come.

Our focus for the next few months is to concentrate on a number of repairs to the exterior of the building, starting with some damage to the gable end as a result of the bad weather over the winter.

If you, or someone you know, would be willing to provide expertise, time, equipment or materials to assist us with the repair of this part of the building please contact the group by calling 01246 827297 or by emailing us.  We would be willing to display your name or the name of your company as part of our Front of House display, programmes and publicity communications for our subsequent productions as a thank you.

We have a number of other projects we are looking to undertake over the rest of the year – if you would like more information, or know of someone who would be willing to take part or assist please let us know by contacting us at the telephone number or email address above.
