The 15th Annual Dinner is a great success

Guest of Honour Nigel Turner delivers his after dinner speech The 15th Bolsover Drama Group Annual Dinner and Dance took place on Saturday 21st May 2011 at Grassmoor Golf Centre. This year’s event proved to be another enjoyable evening, with a three-course meal and after-dinner music provided by ‘Therapy’, a band who our Lighting Director, Philip Clark, is a member of.  Guest of Honour for the evening was our Musical Director, Nigel Turner, who gave a speech to the members of the group following the meal. The evening saw presentations of long service awards to Diane Hulett for 15 years membership and founder-member Rachel Johnson who has been a member of Bolsover Drama Group for 30 years.

Janet Atkinson receiving her 20-year service award The 2009 Bolsover Drama Group dinner and dance took place at the Chesterfield Hotel in March. The annual event, which is now in its 13 th year, is a chance for members of the group, their friends and family, and invited guests to enjoy a social evening together.  The evening comprised of a meal with live music from ‘Blue Moon’, a musical duo featuring the group’s Dawn Shearwood. Following the meal long-service awards were presented to honour the achievements of members who have been members of the group for a number of years.  Awards for ten-year service were presented to Paul Holland and Lyndsey Whitehouse, while Janet Atkinson, Ray Atkinson and Janet Koszegi were all honoured for twenty year’s service to the group.
