Bus for sale

Image
The cast of Summer Holiday with the bus which is for sale Once dismantled the bus will easily fit in a Luton van for transportation Following a number of months of hard work by Tim and Nancy Ballington we felt that the London bus they built was far too good to be dismantled following the completion of our production of ‘Summer Holiday’, so we would like to offer this for sale to any groups who are interested. The bus is designed so that, once dismantled into sections, it can fit through double doors and can be transported within a Luton van. If are a member of or you know of any drama groups who may be interested please contact Tim Ballington on 07708 992789.

Youth Section perform at Gala

Image
Youth Section members performing at the Hornscroft Gala The Youth Section took to the stage to perform a number of songs from ‘Summer Holiday’ at the recent Hornscroft Gala. The Gala, which took place on Sunday 24th June at Hornscroft Park in Bolsover, is an annual event organised by the Friends of Bolsover Parks, and the Bolsover Drama Group Youth Section were proud to be able to open the event, as the first act on stage, on what was a sunny and enjoyable day. We would like to thank the Friends of Bolsover Parks and anyone else involved for allowing us to perform, and we hope to be back again next year!

The award was presented at the NODA East Midlands awards day at Loughborough Town Hall on Sunday 27th May, where presentations were made to a number of amateur dramatics groups based within the East Midlands. Sleeping Beauty was our first production to be held at the new Bolsover School, and as such was a big learning curve, so it is nice to see that our hard work was recognised. The chance to be nominated for awards such as this is one benefit we gain from being affiliated to NODA, who also offer advice, information and workshops to amateur dramatics groups throughout the country.  NODA are the National Operatic and Dramatic Association – the UK-wide representative body for amateur the
