Results of the 2011 AGM

The 2011 Bolsover Drama Group Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday 21st July at the Assembly Rooms, Bolsover. The meeting reviewed the group’s activities through 2010/11 and updated members on plans for 2011/12. The meeting also saw the election of the group’s committee for 2011/12.  All members were up for re-election, with the exception of the Chairperson, Co-vice-Chairperson and Minute Secretary.  The current Secretary, Janet Atkinson, and Treasurer, Chris Booth, announced their intention to retire from their positions and were thanked for their hard work over many years by the group. The management team for 2011/12 is as follows: Chairperson: Mick Whitehouse Vice-Chairperson: Steve Sowerby Co-Vice-Chairperson: Chris Peck Secretary:  Wendy Blunt Treasurer:  Lisa Brunt Minute Secretary:  Lesley Seaston The position of Adult Youth Representative  was also up for nomination.  This position has been offered to both Lianne Brunt and James Sheppard. Viva Mexico is cast

Following auditions held on Tuesday 12th July at the Black Bull and Thursday 14th July at the Assembly Rooms in Bolsover the 2011 Bolsover Drama Group production of ‘Viva Mexico’ has been cast. Raquelita – Sue Hilton Lucille- Paula Bargh Mama Inez – Pam Mosley Casilda – Louise Sutton Lola – Michelle Simpson Priestess – Diane Hulett Ramon – Dale Shaw Pepe – Nicky Constable Pablo – Peter Maddison Lopez – Istvan Koszegi Senator – Ray Hall Mendoza – Ian Simpson Bernardo –  Chris Peck The production will take place Tuesday 4th – Saturday 8th October 2011, nightly at 7:15pm, at the The Bolsover School
